The device (24) has a current detecting unit (28) for detection of current by an electrical fuse (12). A determination unit (30) determines a value depending on the detected current by the fuse, where the value represents an actual auxiliary current value. The current is maximally increased around the actual auxiliary current value by the fuse. A communication interface (32) i.e. wireless local area network (WLAN) interface, transmits the value to a charging device (26). A processing unit (36) of the charging device adjusts the current to an electrical load unit (14) depending on the value.
