[Problem] To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which has excellent charge and discharge cycle characteristics at high temperatures even in cases where the charging potential is set high. [Solution] A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery of the present invention is characterized by containing at least 1% by mass of lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide represented by LiNixCoyMn1-x-yO2 (wherein 0.9 = a = 1.1, 0 < x < 1, 0 < y < 1 and 2x = 1 - y) as a positive electrode active material, and is also characterized in that a positive electrode active material mixture layer contains 0.01-3.0% by mass of molybdenum oxide (MoOz, wherein 2 = z = 3) relative to the lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide. |
