<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately estimate a presence/absence duration time. <P>SOLUTION: When an event detection section 30 detects an end event, a feature amount calculation section 36 acquires an estimation method meeting the end event out of an estimation method list. Furthermore, the feature amount calculation section 36 calculates a feature amount for each estimation method using the acquired estimation method and a feature amount recording section 38 records the feature amount for each event. When the event detection section 30 detects a start event, on the other hand, an estimation method selection section 40 acquires a feature amount corresponding to the start event of an estimation method meeting the start event out of the estimation method list and selects an estimation method for estimating a duration time of the start event on the basis of the acquired feature amount.
