<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system, a wireless communication method, and a program capable of, in a state in which a wireless device can directly communicate with a router device and can perform data transfer with a router control device through the router device, preventing another wireless device from illegally accessing the router control device through a network such as the Internet. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication system detects whether a second communication unit 101 of a router device 10 and a third communication unit 110 of a wireless device 11 are communicable with each other. When communication is possible, data transfer from the wireless device 11 to the router control device 12 through a first communication unit 100 and the second communication unit 101 of the router device 10 is stopped (i.e. "prohibited").
