PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing a crude drug extract for preventing and treating diarrheal diseases of animals and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to effectively prevent or treat various diarrheal diseases without side effects. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating diarrheal diseases of animals contains 10-100 wt% of a mixture extract as an active ingredient, containing Angelica gigas Nakai, Paeonia japonica, Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer, Cyperus rotundus Linne, Myristica fragrans Houttuyn, Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Psoralea corylifolia L., Coptis japonica Makino, Quisqualis indica Linne, and Sophora japonica Linne. The animals are a cow, a pig, a chicken, a rabbit, or a sheep.
