PURPOSE:To manufacture titled heat exchanger with a less assembling steps by a method wherein a number of pipe-like heat exchange elements are arranged between support plates and a primary fluid is flowed through the heat exchange elements while a secondary fluid is flowed through passages among the heat exchange elements. CONSTITUTION:Each of heat exchange elements 1 has the form of a cylindrical pipe made of a heat transmissive and moisture permeable material such as paper and is arranged between the support plates 3 and 3'. Further, partition plates 4 and 4' are fixed to the upper and lower side edges of the plates 3 and 3' respectively, to thereby form a rectangular frame sturcture. With the above structure, the primary fluid flows through the passages A and A' formed in the heat exchange elements 1 and the secondary fluid flows through the passages B and B' among the heat exchange elements 1 in the direction at a right angle to the flow direction of the primary fluid. |
