PURPOSE:To absorb the vibration in blowing and to control the exertion of excessive force on the lower end of a skirt by providing a hanger to the bracket provided to the outside of the skirt, and interlocking the hanger with a lifter provided to a skirt lifting cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A converter 1 is vibrated by the boiling of molten iron, when oxygen is blown into the converter 1. The vibration is transmitted to the supporting beam 20 of a skirt 4, a bracket 21, and a box 22 through a seal ring 18. When the seal ring 18 is brought into close contact with a furnace port 19 by the lowering of the skirt 4, a lifting plate 24 at the leading end of a piston rod 23 of a cylinder 16 is slightly lowered, and isolated from a lip 22a of the box 22. Accordingly, the cylinder 16 side and the bracket 21 side are disconnected, and the vibration is not transmitted to the cylinder 16. Besides, the vibration on the skirt 4 side is not restricted by the cylinder 16. Excessive force is not exerted on the seal ring 18 at the lower end of the skirt 4 and the furnace port 19, and the interface between the skirt 4 and the furnace port 19 is completely sealed. |
