MANUFACTURE OF SHEET AND MOLDED FORM

PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet or a molded form high in strength and in flexibility inexpensively by a method wherein vegetable fine fibers or the powder grains are cured and formed under a normal temperature or being heated by employing the highly surplus amount of water and specified urethane prepolymer individual or the resin emulsion. CONSTITUTION:Fine vegetable fibers or the powder grains are cured under a normal temperature or being heated by employing highly surplus amount of water, individual urethane prepolymer, containing substantially non-reacted NCO group having 10-90% of oxyethylene in the oxyethylene chain and obtained by reacting polyoxyalkylene polyol having two sets or more of terminal hydroxide group with organic polyisocyanate, or employing both of the urethane polymer and resin emulsion, whereby sheet and molded form which are excellent in the physical properties may be obtained. The using amount of water is highly surplus amount and preferably it is an equivalent amount or the amount less than 50 times in weight with respect to the amount of urethane polymer or the total amount of urethane polymer and resin emulsion.
