THE METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF TOTAL ORGANIC CARBON AND APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A measuring method and apparatus of total organic carbon are provided to reduce analysis time capable of accurately measuring total organic carbon number of a specimen by remarkably increasing oxidation force. CONSTITUTION: A measuring method of a total organic carbon comprises: a step of putting a specimen into an inorganic carbon removal tank and an organic oxidation tank; a step of putting phosphoric acid into the inorganic carbon removal tank to remove inorganic carbon; a step of putting an oxidizer and aqueous photocatalyst into the organic oxidation tank, and conducting oxidation by UV-irradiation; and a step of analyzing the inorganic carbon removal tank and organic oxidation tank. The organic carbon analysis apparatus comprises a specimen input part(1); an inorganic carbon removal tank(5); an organic oxidation tank(7) which comprises a UV lamp, an oxidant feeder, and a photocatalyst feeder; a carbon dioxide measuring unit; a carrier gas feeder(15); and a flux controller(14).
