<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent exhaust gas remaining at a high temperature from being led into a fuel tank 51 in a fuel storage device structured to lead the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine 40 into a gas phase of the fuel tank for supplying a fuel to the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel storage device includes a reservoir tank 10 for storing the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine by means of exhaust pressure of the internal combustion engine, a communication path 21 for communicating the reservoir tank with the gas phase of the fuel tank, an isolation valve 33 interposed into the communication path for selectively communicating or blocking the communication path, and a control means for controlling the communicating and blocking of the isolation valve. The control means secures heat dissipation time of the exhaust gas reserved in the reservoir tank to control the isolation valve from the blocked state to the communicating state. When the isolation valve is brought into the communication state and the exhaust gas in the reservoir tank is led into the fuel tank, the exhaust gas is not led into the fuel tank while the gas remains at a high temperature because the heat dissipation time is secured.
