<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating cooker capable of appropriately determining the material of a cooking vessel while reducing the electrical stress applied to a switching element. <P>SOLUTION: When the drive frequency is changed from a first drive frequency to a second drive frequency lower than the first drive frequency: if the voltage applied to a resonance capacitor 8 is a first resonance capacitor voltage value Vc1 and if the input current is a first input current value Iin1 or more, a material determination section 11 determines the material of the cooking vessel 6 as a non-magnetic stainless steel; if the input current is a second input current value Iin2 or less which is smaller than the first input current value Iin1, the material determination section 11 determines the material as aluminum; and if the input current is the second input current value Iin2 or more and less than the first input current value Iin1, the material determination section 11 determines the material as ion. When the material is determined as non-magnetic stainless steel, the material determination section 11 drives the induction heating cooker with a drive frequency higher than the drive frequency when the material is determined as ion, the electrical stress applied to a switching element 5 can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
