PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for automatically and continuously monitoring the behavior and physiological indexes of animals.

SOLUTION: Vibration data generated with muscle movement of feeding and rumination or breathing and heartbeat of animals are collected from a vibration detection sensor medium attached to the surface of the animal bodies. The behavior or physiological indexes are monitored by the use of the low frequency vibration detected.
