<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transmit a PES packet including parallax information. <P>SOLUTION: Three-dimensional image data having left-eye image data and right-eye image data is output. Data of superimposition information to be superimposed on an image obtained from the left-eye image data and the right-eye image data is output. The superimposition information to be superimposed on the image obtained from the left-eye image data and the right-eye image data is shifted to output parallax information for providing parallax. A transport stream is transmitted which includes the PES packet of a video data stream having the three-dimensional image data and the PES packet of a first private data stream having the data of the superimposition information. The PES packet of a second private data stream is multiplexed so as to arrive at a decoder buffer on a reception side earlier by a predetermined time period than a timing of a presentation time stamp contained in this PES packet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
