<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an object to be conveyed during conveyance at a temperature required for quenching between respective steps of a production line performing hot press. <P>SOLUTION: This conveyance device for hot press includes a heat insulating cover 6 which is composed of a top panel 6a covering the whole area of the upper surface of a steel plate 10, and side panels 6b projecting downward from the outer peripheral edges of the top panel 6a and interiorly forming a heat insulating space S opened downward together with the top panel 6a. A plurality of hooking rods 62 are provided in an approachable and separable manner around the mutually opposed openings of the heat insulating space S. The hooking rods 62 are advanced from the lateral side to the heat insulating space S by mutual approaching movement and are hooked on the outer peripheral edge of the steel plate 10 from below so that the steel plate 10 is retained to be conveyed to the next step; meanwhile, the hooking rods 62 are retreated from the heat insulating space S to the lateral side by mutual separating movement, and transfer the steel plate 10 conveyed to the next step.
