<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformer capable of easily improving cooling performance, and to provide a wind power generation system with the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the transformer, an iron core and windings mounted to the iron core are housed in a tank, and a transformer body storing an insulating refrigerant in the tank is arranged in a tower which configures the wind power generation system.
