摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in an electrolyte due to oxidation-reduction decomposition in a lithium ion secondary battery using a positive electrode active material comprising a lithium manganese-based oxide including a lithium (Li) element and a tetravalent manganese (Mn) element and having a crystal structure belonging to a layered rock-salt structure. <P>SOLUTION: It is considered that, by adding &gamma;-butyrolactone in an electrolyte, an additive is oxidized prior to oxidation of an organic solvent on a surface of a positive electrode in performing activation treatment and in storing at high temperature, to form a coat.
