<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting an error in a receiver for a satellite navigation system. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a step of computing a plurality of measurement residuals corresponding to a position solution and also includes a step of coupling the plurality of measurement residuals in order to form a certification statistic, in which a threshold value is selected so as to be a value belonging to the noncentral chi-squared distribution of a possible certification statistic corresponding to a desired probability of a false alarm. The certification statistic is compared with the threshold value and if the certification statistic is larger than the threshold value, at least either the output of an alarm indicating the presence of an error in the position solution or discarding of the position solution is executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
