<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which performs a proper gradation converting process by suppressing the effects on the gradation converting process due to information of a region where an object image is not formed by an optical system, and to provide an endoscope apparatus and a program and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: an image signal acquisition section 102 which acquires image signals partially including the signals of the object image from an image element 1021, wherein the object image is formed via the optical system in the image forming area while the object image is not formed in the image non-forming area; a processing-area setting section 104 for setting the processing area, which includes pixels used for the gradation converting process from among the images of an imaging area where the image signals are acquired, within the image forming area; and a gradation converting section 106 which performs the gradation converting process based on pixel values of the pixels within the set processing area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
