<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system capable of exactly identifying whether a person approaching a monitoring area set around an approach restriction region is a suspicious person. <P>SOLUTION: A security system 1 has detection means 21 for detecting the position of a person existing in a monitoring area set in at least a portion of the circumference of an approach restriction region, identification information acquisition means 22 for acquiring person identification information, authority identification means 273 for determining whether each person is an authorized person or an unauthorized person on the basis of identification information, position tracking means 341 for tracking a position in each person to store tracking information, behavior detection means 342 for detecting specific behavior, and determination means 343 for determining that the unauthorized person as a suspicious person when specific behavior of the unauthorized person is detected.
