A clearing or sedimentation tank (18) has a discharge channel (12) for pure water. The wall of the channel in contact with the water in the tank has holes (16) through which pure water flows from the tank into the channel. The channel is connected to an outlet pipe (14). The channel and/or the outlet pipe are associated with retaining means (18, 19) which dam up the water in the channel to a level above the holes. |
