The device for removing material such as health-endangering particles from structures comprises a processing tool (38) for releasing the particles and a suction device for removing the released particles. The processing tool (38) and suction device are combined in a common housing (12) which has a suction opening (58) from which the processing tool (38) protrudes. The housing can contain a holder (42) connected to a drive device (36) for the interchangeable fitting of a corresponding processing tool (38). USE/ADVANTAGE - Removal of hazadous material from building strutcure. Easier handling by a single operator.
