An objective of the present invention is to minimize communication interrupt time and reopen communication in a short time. A wireless communication system comprises a first wireless communication device and a second wireless communication device. The first wireless communication device further comprises a plurality of communication units. The plurality of communication units carries out communication on respectively different frequency bands. The plurality of communication units transmits an identical control signal and data via the different frequency bands, and creates a state of having allocated a communication slot of the second wireless communication device upon a plurality of paths. If a communication fault is detected while executing a communication on one path which is connected to one communication unit, the second wireless communication device switches to another communication unit and continues the communication over a different path.
