An engine emission remover 10 for an internal combustion engine, the remover comprises an exhaust gas outlet 13 and a gas diffuser sheet 14 that is attached to a gas inlet 12 and disposed within a water filled tank 11 below the water level, such that combustion gases exiting the gas diffuser sheet pass upwardly through the water to a micro-porous filter 15, through the filter and into the atmosphere. Preferably, the diffusion sheet includes multiple holes to allow combustion gases to pass through the diffuser sheet in a dispersed pattern under a predetermined level.
