A method for controlling an electric water pump of a hybrid vehicle is provided to turn off the electric water pump if an interior temperature reaches a preset heating temperature to reduce energy consumption. An electric water pump operates and a heating control state is determined if an engine is stopped. An interior temperature is compared with a preset heating temperature if the determination about the heating control state is achieved; otherwise, the electric water pump is controlled. The electric water pump is stopped if the interior temperature reaches the preset heating temperature. The electric water pump operates again if the interior temperature descends the preset heating temperature or less after the electric water pump is stopped. |
