<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transfer device which realizes high-quality video display by suppressing throughput reduction in image transmission even in a network environment having a large transmission delay, without using various parameters which are difficult to be grasped in an application layer. <P>SOLUTION: Processing of an application layer in which image transmission is performed using a TCP/IP has means of selecting and transmitting a transmission port used for image transmission for one frame of the image or a plurality of the frames.
