<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for manufacturing a high-output battery comprising an electrolyte layer which contains a polyelectrolyte, while ensuring a sufficient energy density. <P>SOLUTION: An electrode for a battery comprises a collector, and an active material layer formed on the surface of the collector and containing an active material, a binder, and a conductive assistant. The density of the conductive assistant in the active material layer decreases gradually with increasing distance from the collector side toward the electrolyte layer side of the active material layer, the porosity of the active material layer increases gradually with increasing distance from the collector side toward the electrolyte layer side of the active material layer, and the concentration of the binder in the active material layer does not increase with increasing distance from the electrolyte layer side toward the collector side of the active material layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
