PURPOSE: An optical package device and an erbium doped optical fiber amplifier using the same are provided to reduce the loss due to splicing by decreasing splicing points by applying efficient package type configuration. CONSTITUTION: An EDFA(100) includes a first optical package device(110), an erbium doped optical fiber(13) and a second optical package device(120). A first tap coupler filter, a first photodiode, a first isolator, a first wavelength division multiplexer and a first pump laser diode are modulized in the first optical package device. A second tap coupler filter, a second photodiode, a second isolator, a second wavelength division multiplexer and a second pump laser diode are modulized in the second optical package device. The erbium doped optical fiber amplifies optical signal by energy provided through pumped light received from the first optical package.
