PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized and efficient vibration generation device mountable on a miniaturized electronic instrument such as a cellular phone, a game instrument and a controller for the game instrument, and an electronic instrument mounting this vibration generation device. SOLUTION: A gravity center C of a movable part 13 and an application center of driving force relative to the movable part 13 are positioned at an area M between fixed ends 12c of a bonding end 14a of an elastic support member 12. When the elastic support member 12 is vibrated, moment of rotation making the bonding end 14a of the movable part 13 as fulcrum (counterclockwise moment making the shown X axis as an axis) and moment of deflection of the elastic support member 12 making the fixed end 12c as fulcrum (clockwise moment making the shown X axis as an axis) are canceled each other.
