<p>A mould incorporates an imprint for producing a honeycomb piece from expanded polymer balls to act as a lost model for fabricating a casting. It has some channels traversing its wall, emerging in the imprint and outside the mould, realised as slots extending parallel two by two and at least partially following the contours of the mould imprint. The channels allow the escape of air contained in the imprint whilst filling with the balls and the introduction of saturated vapor in a uniform manner, allowing the interconnection of the balls and the coating of the component in a uniform manner. An independent claim is also included for the fabrication of the mould.</p> |
