摘要 PURPOSE: A control device for by-product gas from iron-and-steel making process and a method thereof are provided to save energy costs by reducing BFG(Blast Furnace Gas) emission rate according to the level change of BFG by-product corresponding to the operation of an air-heating furnace of a blast furnace process. CONSTITUTION: A control device for by-product gas from iron-and-steel making process and a method thereof comprise a communications unit and a control unit. The communications unit receives the BFG(Blast Furnace Gas) holder level information from the BFG holder(200), and the running pattern information from a air-heating furnace(300). The communication unit receives an additional flux information from at least one of a BFG pipe flow meter(10), a COG(Coke Oven Gas) pipe flow meter(30), an LDG(Linz Donawitz Gas) pipe flow meter(30), and a mixed gas flow meter(40). The control unit generates the control signal for a LDG piping valve according to the BFG holder level information and the running pattern information. The BFG holder level information is either the level value information of the BFG holder or the rate-of-change information of a BFG level value. The control unit generates the control signal for opening the LDG pipe valve when the change of the operation pattern of the air-heating furnace requires more by-product gas, and the rate-of-change information of a BFG level value is over the predetermined threshold value.
