<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce failure in supplying a medium. <P>SOLUTION: A medium supply device (U2) includes: a holding member (21) that has a holding member body (23) facing a stacking member (11) and movably supported in a conveyance direction, openings (31) for sucking air, a suction device (HF), and a contacting part (24a+32+33+36b) with which the medium (S) moved from the stacking member (31) in response to sucked air contacts, and that sucks and holds the medium (S); a conveyance member (Ra) that conveys the medium (S) adsorbed by the holding member (21) toward downward; cleaning members (51, 61) that can clean the contacting part (24a+32+33+36b); and a cleaning control means (C13) that controls at least one of the cleaning members (51, 61) and the holding member (21) to clean the contacting part (24a+32+33+36b) when arrival of cleaning time (tb) is determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
