<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of starting video imaging using a still imaging operation member without reducing the operability of still imaging. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus capable of still imaging and video recording includes: still imaging means that starts still imaging according to a still imaging instruction in a state of live view in which an image taken by the imaging means is being through-displayed; video recording means that starts video recording according to a recording instruction to execute video recording from operation means other than operation means which gives the still imaging instruction; setting means that sets the video recording means to start the video recording according to an imaging instruction signal given by the still imaging instruction; and control means that, when the setting means sets to start the video recording according to the imaging instruction signal, and when the imaging instruction signal is given in a state that the video recording is possible, controls the video recording means to start the video recording. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
