The present invention relates to a method for preparing a reverse osmosis membrane, and to a reverse osmosis membrane prepared thereby, the method comprising the steps of: forming a first coating layer, the thickness of which is 20 µm to 30 µm, by applying an aqueous amine solution onto one side of a microporous support body; removing the excess aqueous amine solution from the support body; and forming a second coating layer, the thickness of which is 10 µm to 30 µm, by applying an aliphatic hydrocarbon-based organic solution comprising acyl halide on the first coating layer.
