<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit of an LED lamp with increased noise reduced as reducing its size and the LED lamp equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: On a circuit board, input terminals 26, 27, output terminals 28, 29, rectifier smoothing circuits 20, 21 converting AC power input from the input terminals 26, 27 into DC power, and a switching circuit 22 including a switching element and converting DC power into LED lighting power are provided. The switching element 25 is arranged to be positioned at one end side of the circuit board, and the input terminals 26, 27 as well as the output terminals 28, 29 are positioned further on the other end side than the switching element 25. Wiring patterns connecting from the input terminals 26, 27 to the output terminals 28, 29 through the switching element 25 are fitted on the circuit board.
