Subsequently, the stroke speed Vz of the suspension is calculated based on the calculated reference vehicle body speed component Vb0. Then, the stroke condition of the suspension is controlled based on calculated stroke speed Vz. Accordingly, even if the vehicle planar motion component and the road surface disturbance component are mixed for instance, and the detection accuracy of wheel speed &omega;s decreases, the decrease in the estimated accuracy of the reference vehicle body speed component Vb0 can be controlled.
