The invention relates to an optical device (1) comprising an optical module (2), e.g., an objective lens, a printed circuit board (4), an image recording element (6) and a supporting plate (5), wherein the optical module (2) and the image recording element (6) are arranged on one side of the supporting plate (5) and the printed circuit board (4) is arranged on the opposite side of the supporting plate (5) and wherein the image recording element (6) and the printed circuit board (4) are contacted to each other through one or more openings (9) in the supporting plate (5). In a special embodiment, the image recording element (6) is arranged in an opening (9) in the supporting plate (5) and directly joined to the printed circuit board (4).
