<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the transfer paper which is superior in paperlike characteristics and writing quality and is good in transfer characteristics at the high humidity by using the aqueous solution or dispersion composed primarily of the specific resins in forming the transfer receptive layer. CONSTITUTION:After 40-90wt% of methyl methacrylate, 3-60wt% of alkyl (metha)acrylate of C6 or more and 0.5-10wt% of unsaturated carboxylic acid are copolymerized on the surface of transfer paper which receives dry type toner images, the copolymer is neutralized by NH3 or volatile amines, whereby the resin of 5000- 10,000 in mean molecular weight is produced. The aqueous solution or dispersion of this resin is coated on the paper and is then dried, whereby the transfer paper is produced. The resultant transfer paper has virtually no hygroscopicity and maintain good transfer characteristics even at the high humidity.</p> |
