摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-quality single-polarized lithium niobate single crystal by a simple production step and simple equipment. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a single-polarized lithium niobate single crystal by a vertical Bridgman method, a crucible 22 is arranged in an internal space 11a of a growing furnace 10, a single-polarized seed crystal (a) and a raw material (b) of lithium niobate are accommodated in the crucible 22, a high temperature zone with a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of lithium niobate and a temperature gradient zone in which temperature is gradually reduced as going to the lower side of the high temperature zone till getting equal to or lower than the melting point is formed in the growing furnace 10 by controlling the temperature of the growing furnace 10, and the raw material (b) is made to be a single-polarized single crystal by making the crucible 22 descend from the high temperature zone to the temperature gradient zone at a prescribed speed without applying an electric field to the raw material (b) from the outside of the crucible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
