<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the image quality by a sheet conveyed between a transfer part and a fixation part, sucked and thereby rubbed by a conveyance guide part when an image is formed on both sides of the sheet. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus A capable of forming an image on both sides of a sheet S comprises: a secondary transfer part 7A for transferring a toner image formed on an intermediate transfer belt 6 to the sheet S; a fixation part 30 provided in the downstream side of the secondary transfer part 7A in the sheet conveyance direction and fixing the transferred toner image on the sheet S by heat; a conveyance guide part 12 provided between the secondary transfer part 7A and the fixation part 30 and including a suction port 13 for sucking the sheet S; a suction part 11 suctioning air from the suction port 13 and sucking the sheet S to the conveyance guide part 12; and a control part 90 for controlling a drive of the suction part 11.
