<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for detecting, by different means from the conventional, disconnection of an electric wire connecting each of a plurality of cells to a cell monitoring device. <P>SOLUTION: A cell monitoring unit 70 of a cell monitoring device 71 turns on and turns off again a plurality of switches 21 to 24 connected in parallel to a plurality of cells 1 to 4 via voltage measuring lines 60 to 64, respectively, in a preset sequence; and, not before the switch connected in parallel to the pertinent cell is turned off again and not before the next switch in the sequence is turned on, measures as a cell voltage the voltage between a pair of voltage measuring lines connected to each cell. If it is determined that the measured plurality of cell voltages includes at least one of an abnormally high cell voltage not below a first threshold and an abnormally low cell voltage not above a second threshold, which is lower than the first threshold, disconnection of a voltage measuring line or lines is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
