<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply control method and power supply controller, capable of facilitating identification of a starting point of switching control in use of a switching power supply. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply control method or the power supply controller, rectifying alternating currents and obtaining an output voltage by switching control, generates a control signal with a predetermined waveform, compares an output voltage detecting signal to a control signal and implements switching control on the basis of a comparison result.
