An apparatus for purifying cleaning water of a potable water pipeline is provided to improve the conventional cleaning water treatment process by separating particulate matters in cleaning water during cleaning of the potable water pipeline, purify the cleaning water effectively by coagulating, settling, and separating the particulate matters in the cleaning water effectively, and conserve the environment by discharging treated cleaning water through a manhole connected to a sewer. An apparatus for purifying cleaning water of a potable water pipeline comprises a cyclone including: a cylindrical outer chamber(1); a truncated conical hopper(3) which is formed in such a shape that an upper part of the hopper is wide while a lower part thereof is narrow, and which is integrally joined with a bottom part of the cylindrical outer chamber; an inflow port(6) formed on the cylindrical outer chamber to flow a fluid into the cylindrical outer chamber in the tangential direction; and an inner chamber(2) which is installed in the center of the cylindrical outer chamber, and on which a discharge port(12) is formed, wherein a truncated conical vane(4) is joined with the central part of the inner chamber, and the conical vane has spiral guides(5) installed on an outer surface thereof. The inner chamber has a serrate flange(21) formed on an inner face of a lower end thereof. The inner chamber has an impeding projection(8) formed on an upper portion thereof, and a downward bent part(81) is formed on an inner portion of the impeding projection.
