PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and highly efficiently drive a liquid lens at high speed with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A fluid lens drive circuit 10 has a DC-DC converter 12, an oscillator 14, a pulse width modulator 16 and a control logic circuit 18. An output buffer circuit 30 divides a converter output voltage Vshaving a certain amplitude (voltage level) to be input as a power source voltage into positive and negative output voltages Out_A and Out_B and outputs them and turns on and off both output voltages Out_A and Out_B according to the H level/L level of a PWM signal CPWMfrom the pulse width modulator 16. Thus, the output voltages Out_A and Out_B of the pulse width modulation (PWM) are applied from the liquid lens drive circuit 10 to the electrodes 104 and 108 of the liquid lens 100 as driving voltage VL.
