PURPOSE: A light output measuring system of a light emitting element and a measuring method are provided to rapidly and accurately measure a light output of the light emitting element and to prevent damage to the light emitting element in a light output measuring process. CONSTITUTION: A light output measuring method of a light emitting element(1) is as follows. The light output data of each light emitting element of a light emitting element array(200) is measured by a light output measuring unit(60) while the light emitting element array is arranged in a first plate. Some of the light emitting elements included in the light emitting element array are selected as a sampling group. The light output data of the light emitting element is measured while the light emitting elements of the sampling group are individually arranged in a second plate so that lights of the light emitting elements are not incident to the light output measuring unit after the lights are reflected by the adjacent light emitting element. A correlation between the light output data measured in a second measurement step and the light output data of the sampling group is set. The light output data of each light emitting element measured in a first measurement step is compensated by using the set correlation. The light outputs of each light emitting element included in the light emitting element array are calculated. [Reference numerals] (50) Power supply unit; (70) Control unit
