<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel α-glucosidase the enzyme activity of which is activated by an activator which is easily obtainable and easily handled, and which does not substantially generate malto-oligosaccharides with a degree of polymerization outside the target range in the production of glycosides, and also to provide a method of generating the enzyme and a method for producing the enzyme, a DNA which encodes the enzyme, a microbe which generates the enzyme, and an application therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The α-glucosidase is characterized as follows. The enzyme activity is activated to at least 200% under the presence of 10 mmol/L of one kind or at least two kinds ions chosen from a potassium ion, rubidium ion, cesium ion or ammonium ion based on that of under the absence; and the α-glosidase acts on maltose, p-nitrophenyl-α-D-glucoside, sucrose, and glucose is separated, however, substantially does not act on isomaltose, nigerose, kojibiose, trehalose, maltotriose, maltotetraose, maltopentaose, maltohexaose, and soluble starch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
