<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device in which a torque required to automatically open the device is generated when a first unit and a second unit are slid relative to each other in parallel when the device is closed. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile terminal device 100 includes an upper unit 110, a lower unit 120, and a connection unit 200. The connection unit 200 has a first rotation member 210 and a second rotation member 220. The upper unit 110 and lower unit 120 includes stoppers 111, 121 which control the movement of a shaft.
