<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety in a nuclear power plant when assuming core meltdown as the accident of the nuclear power plant. <P>SOLUTION: The nuclear power plant includes: a reactor vessel 11 for storing a core 10; a reactor containment vessel 12 for containing the reactor vessel 11; and a radiation heat reflection member 30 arranged under the reactor vessel 11 and also inside the reactor containment vessel 12. The radiation heat reflection member 30 shields radiation heat that is cast from a melting core 31 toward the side wall surface of the reactor containment vessel 12 when the melting core 31 where the core 10 is melting by the accident flows out to a part under the reactor vessel 11 so as to be deposited in the lower part inside the reactor containment vessel 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
