<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an intake air flow from directly colliding with an EGR introducing pipe or EGR gas, and reduce the influence of the intake air flow to uniformly distribute the EGR gas to branch pipes. <P>SOLUTION: An air intake device 10 includes: branch pipes 16-19 each having a downstream end connected to the one side of an engine body 1; an intake air chamber 20 connected to the upstream ends of the branch pipes 16-19; and a common intake air introducing part 21 to be connected to the center in the cylinder arrangement direction of the intake air chamber. On a wall surface 20a facing an EGR introducing passage 33 in the intake air chamber 20, a divider plate 26 is formed to prevent the intake air flowing out from the common intake air introducing part 21 from colliding with the EGR gas flowing out from the EGR introducing passage 33. At a downstream end 33a of the EGR introducing passage 33, an extended pipe wall 24 is provided for guiding the EGR gas to a lower surface on the opposite side of the common intake air introducing part 21 in the divider plate 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
