<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a single crystal and the like where the single crystal excellent in crystallinity and corresponding to different diameters can be easily grown. <P>SOLUTION: A single crystal pulling apparatus 1 comprises: a cylindrical wall 22 standing up from the surrounding of a bottom 21; a disc-like cover 23 set on the top of the wall 22 and having an opening 23a in a center part; a crucible 20 to hold an alumina melt 300; an upper heater 30 to heat the crucible 20 from the wall 22; a lower heater 35 set at the lower part of the crucible 20 and heating the crucible 20 from the bottom 21; a pulling rod 40 to pull a sapphire ingot 200 from the alumina melt 300; an upper heater power source 90 to supply electric power to the upper heater 30; and a lower heater power source 95 to supply electric power to the lower heater 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
