A connector (1) has a first terminal housing (5) with first connecting terminals (4a-4c) and a second terminal housing (7) with second connecting terminals (6a-6c). When the first terminal housing (5) and the second terminal housing (7) are mated, one side of the first connecting terminals (4a-4c) and one side of the second connecting terminals (6a-6c) form pairs and provide contacts, respectively. Each of the contacts is sandwiched by an insulator (8a-8d). The insulator (8a-8d) has a first isolating member (43a-46a) configured to be fixed to other side of an adjacent first connecting terminal (4a-4c) and to cover one surface of the adjacent first connecting terminal (4a-4c), and a second isolating member (43b-45b) configured to be fixed to the other side of an adjacent second connecting terminal (6a-6c) and to cover one surface of the adjacent second connecting terminal (6a-6c). The insulator (8a-8d) is formed by overlapping the first insolating member (43a-46a) and the second isolating member (43b-45b) when the first terminal housing (5) and the second terminal housing (7) are mated.
